Hopes and Fears, a short-film competition, was a joint endeavor of Greater Philadelphia Filmmakers and Great Expectations, the year-long project on civic engagement run by the Philadelphia Inquirer, along with the University of Pennsylvania's Project on Civic Engagement, and the Lenfest and Knight Foundations.
